Terrel Lamar Kemp was born January 22, 1992, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Terrel loved his family! In fact, Terrel loved people; no matter who you were or how long he had known you, he always said “I love you” before parting ways.
He gained his wings December 31, 2021.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, William Bernard (Rena) Jones; great grandmother, India Mynatt; aunts, Emma Hunter, Nancy (Robert) Cannon, Jacquelyn Barton, and Sammie Jo (Deldon) Tyus; uncles, Duane Kemp and Lloyd “LV” Jones and devoted friend, Jerome “JRoc” Locke.
Survived by a loving and devoted family: children, TaShiya, TaNiya, Taelyn, and Terrel Kemp Jr.; parents Greg and India Kemp; sister, Aneka Kemp; brothers, Shawn Allen, and Tyler (Kacie) Kemp; grandmother, Geneva Kemp Ware; nieces, Mesha Smith, Ishona Hardin, Chyna Echols, Geneva Kay, Naomi Allen and I’Yomi Boatwright; nephews, Darius Allen, Kason Isom, Ka’si and Niko Boatwright; uncles, Hiram (Serena) Ware and William B (Debbie) Jones; devoted cousins, Jazmin (Sacarie) Jones and Jordan (Avi) Jones; a host of other devoted cousins and friends.
Friday, January 14, 2022, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church, 2041 Bethel Avenue, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings required. The funeral service will follow for immediate family and close friends. Pastor Sanford Miller, Sr. officiating. Interment at New Gray Cemetery, 2724 Western Avenue, Knoxville, TN, where a white dove release will conclude the service.
