Terrell Oree Jackson, 36, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on March 30, 2026.

He was born on October 12, 1989, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Cynthia Jackson.

Terrell was a gifted poet and writer, known to many as “Poetic Terrell.” He carried a calm and cool demeanor, paired with a genuine kindness and a willingness to help others. A free-spirited soul, Terrell approached life with a positive mindset that touched everyone around him. Writing was not only his passion but also his refuge and joy, allowing him to express his thoughts, emotions, and unique perspective on the world.

He is survived by his loving parents, Elizabeth and Jimmy Duncan; his siblings, Pamela Duncan, LaTasha Duncan, Dessica Coleman, Lee Duncan, Shavon Duncan, Jasper Sawyer, and Sharee Duncan; and many close friends who were like family, including Cordell and Arlene Sherman. His presence, words, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Terrell’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and light will live on through the many lives he touched.
