On January 9, 2024, Tomekian Pennington Sr. gained his heavenly wings. Tomekian was born on June 27, 1993, to Katrina Pennington and John Settles in Knoxville, Tennessee, and resided in Lonsdale.

Tomekian was humble, motivational, loving, and honest. He was always devoted and eager to live life to the fullest. He would always hug you no matter what. He was handy and hardworking; he was always willing to help anyone. Tomekian received his plumbing certificate in May of 2023. 

Tomekian was preceded in death by his uncles, Charles and Homer Pennington and Tamikien Caldwell; aunts, Cynthia and Mildred Christian; sister, Necissa; grandmother, Virginia Settles; grandfather, Johnny King, Sr.

He is survived by his father, John Settles; mother, Katrina Pennington; uncle, Malik Settles; aunts, Valencia, Patricia, Joan, Kim, Demetria, Zestia, Francesca; grandmothers, Yvonne Caldwell, Veronica, Aretha, and Natasha Pennington, sisters, Traniece, Nakeyia, Stephanie, Jaonia, Johneekwa, Dayshonda, Recissa, brothers, Stephon and NaQuon(Madison), his special girl, Kai’Lynn Pennington, and his son, Tomekian Pennington Jr.  and a host of  cousins and friends including Jamel Wilson.
