Troy Johnson, affectionately known as a gentle giant, entered into eternal rest in Knoxville, TN on June 19,2025. Born on September 9, 1967, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to James and the late Carolyn Johnson, Troy was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend.

A proud graduate of Austin-East High School, Class of 1987, Troy was known for his radiant smile and kind spirit that could light up any room. He had a deep love for cars and football, and spent many joyful hours attending car shows, watching the game, and enjoying quality time with his father, James.

Above all, Troy’s greatest joy came from being a father. His children Troy Jr.,  Audriona , Di'Jon ,  Justin and Triston Johnson—were the pride and joy of his heart, and he poured his love and strength into them daily.

Troy was the “little big brother” to Sherry, Jimmy, and Maurice Johnson—always protective, always loving. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Carolyn Johnson, and beloved sister, Gail Johnson.

Troy’s presence was larger than life, and his heart was tender and true. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
