William Glenn Obituary

William E. Glenn, Sr., affectionately known as Fleetwood, departed this life on Friday, July 17, 2020.  Fleetwood was born April 29, 1956 to Thelma and Helen Glenn in Knoxville, TN.  He attended Austin East High School and was a former employee of The Hyatt Regency and JFG Manufacturing.  Fleetwood loved to dance, good music and always enjoyed a plate of good ol’ soul food.  He attended worship service at Grace Bible Baptist Church.

Fleetwood had an infectious smile that would light up a room.  He will be fondly remembered and missed by all who had the pleasure of his company.

Preceded in death by his father, Deacon Thelma Glenn and nephew, Shannon Glenn.

Left to cherish his memory: daughters, Breshieyah and Achaia Glenn; son, William E. Glenn, Jr.; loving and devoted mother, Helen Glenn; sister, Annie Williams; brothers, Bishop Tommie (Doris) Glenn and Gary Glenn; a host of nieces, nephews and longtime friend, Vickie Glenn White.

Thursday, July 23, 2020, a private graveside will take place.  During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order #17 (COVID-19). Face masks and social distancing will be required.   A white dove release will conclude the service.  Professional arrangements entrusted to Patton Funeral Home, Brian L. Buckmon, LFD 1-800-824-8283 or www.pattonfuneralhome1962.com and mandated by the CDC and Governor of Tennessee.
