William Mark Martin, born January 4, 1964, in Knoxville, TN to Mildred McMillan and William F. Martin Sr.
God called one of his own home to glory on October 4, 2021 in Nashville, TN.
Mark, affectionately known as “Uncle Mark,” attended Knoxville City Schools. He worked at National Linen for many years, Hardee’s, and Honey Baked Ham. Mark loved to sing, cook, go live on Facebook, and be around family. He was the life of any party and everybody loved him! Family meant the world to him especially his children and grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his loving and devoted mother, Mildred McMillan; father, William F. Martin Sr.; grandparents, Ethel McMillan, James Latimer and Raymond and Isabella Martin; great grandparents, James and Juanita McMillan; uncles, Raymond, Walter, Herman, and Clayton Martin, Gregory, Arthur, Leroy, and James McMillan; aunts, Betty Minor and Modestine “Peggy” Martin Cunningham.
Survived by his devoted children, Marchia and Wilmarcus (T’Anndra), Martin, Jarneisha Styles and Akia Samuel; grandchildren, Jameiya, Ronnie, Anyri, A’syria, Santana, A’mela, SaQuan, Ky’Licia and Orlando Jr.; brother, William F. (Audrey) Martin Jr.; aunts, Brenda Upton and Wanda McMillan; uncles, Darryl, David, Dennis and Dexter McMillan; “The First Cousins” and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name.
Tuesday, October 12, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman Street, Knoxville, TN. Social distancing and face coverings are required. A service to follow for immediate family and close friends. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
