William Eugene McCleary, 80, of Charleston, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
He was born on May 21, 1940, to the late William Leonard McCleary and Georgia Mae Mynatt-McCleary.
Eugene attended College Hill High School and was a member of Watson Chapel AME Zion Church in Charleston.
He retired from Olin Chemicals of Charleston.
Eugene loved to dance, football, music, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Delois Westfield-McCleary; his three sons: Micheal Eugene, Steven and Todd; one daughter, Darlene; one grandson, Omari Savon; two uncles: Sharman and Fredirick McCleary, all of Charleston; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A walk-through visitation will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair St. S.E., Cleveland, TN.
Graveside service will be held at the Sunset Memorial Gardens on Thursday at 11 a.m.
