Linda Diane Jones-Banks

Linda Diane Jones Banks departed this life on Friday, August 30, 2019.  Born October 10, 1955 in Columbus, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Johnnie Mae Thomas Davis.  Diane graduated Austin East High School (Knoxville, TN) and later Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York. She was employed at Travelers Insurance Agency over 20 years.  Diane was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She enjoyed bowling, gardening, listening and dancing to good ol’ music. 

Preceded in death by her daughter, Chandra McKeithen; mother, Johnnie Mae Davis; grandmother, Estelle Thomas; aunt/uncle, Mathew and Inez Clark. 

Survived by sons, Johsabian McKeithen and Derrick Jones; several grandchildren; sisters, Ocie Mae Thomas, Sharon Denise Thomas Ropper, Jacqueline Thomas Day, Pamela Ann Fountain and Betty Jean Davis; a host of other family and friends to include devoted friends Mary Ann and Minnie Chesney. 

Saturday, September 7, 2019, a Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Open Door Church, 2806 Sherman Street, Knoxville, TN.  Pastor Steve A .
