Angela "Angie" Booker 

Knoxville - Angela "Angie" Booker went home to glory, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at Fort Sanders Hospital. She was born December 31, 1957 to McKinley Andrews and Eloise Battle in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was raised in the Lonsdale Community. She graduated from Rule High School in 1975. Angie attended Morris Brown College (Atlanta). She had a strong culinary background from her family. She was owner-operator of Angelouise Catering. Angie was known for being bold, having a great sense of humor, and telling it like it is. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and time with her grandchildren. Angie, a devoted wife, loving mom, and a child of God, was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sonya Andrews. 

She leaves to mourn her passing: husband, Perry Booker; two sons, Yarek Grisby of Tampa, FL and Perry (Tasha) Brantley of Oliver Springs, TN; two daughters, Yasmin Grisby of Little Rock, AR and Engcattii Booker of Knoxville, TN; four grandsons, Trevous Tre" Grisby, Dalen Booker, Rodney Smith III and Jayden Brantley; one granddaughter, Mia Brantley; four siblings, Michelle (Thurman) Kinnebrew, April (Carlton) Brown. Latonya (Allen) Henry, all of Knoxville and Greg (Teresa) Whitman of Hickory, NC; a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and friends that loved her dearly. 

Tuesday, July 28, 2020, a public walk through visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 1807 Dandridge Avenue, Knoxville, TN. A private graveside to follow with Reverend Leroy Franklin as the eulogist. A white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order #17 (COVID-19). Social distancing and face masks are required.
