Dorothy Evelyn Brooks was born in San Diego, California on January 19, 1959, to the union of Thomas Wither and Agnes Nadean Brooks.
Dorothy was educated in San Diego public schools and she accepted Christ into her life. Dorothy was a homemaker for many years raising her three children. She worked numerous jobs in customer service and security before her illness.
The Lord welcomed her into his loving arms on August 7, 2022. Dorothy leaves to cherish her life; daughter LaTisha Nicole, son Marcus DeLeon, four granddaughters Akacia and Eniya Kane, Miasia and Monae Carter, and one grandson Marcus DeLeon Jr., family, and friends.
Saturday, August 20, 2022, family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church, 520 College Street, Knoxville, TN 37921 .Social distancing and face coverings required. Funeral service to follow with Rev. Anthony Britt, officiating. Interment at Mount Olive Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service.
